Resurrection Creek Plants for Salmon
Join us on Resurrection Creek for a day of planting trees to restore fish habitat along the newly constructed pools and meanders!
Resurrection Creek is in the middle of a major restoration effort to restore over two miles of in-stream and 74 acres of riparian habitat.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with hands-on restoration and revegetation of a creek that hosts 4 species of pacific salmon while learning more about the larger restoration project. Whether you’re a local who loves this area or a visitor looking to give back, this is a great way to connect with the land and community and make a real difference.
Enjoy a day of fun and learning with:
- Interactive kids' activities
- Local watershed experts sharing knowledge
- Project leaders to discuss the overall restoration project on
Resurrection Creek
- Free lunch for all volunteers
We’ll provide all the materials, but bring sturdy shoes, gloves, and be prepared to get your hands dirty!
This event is brought to you by Trout Unlimited, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Forest Foundation, NOAA Fisheries, Kinross Alaska, and the Student Conversation Assocation.
Please RSVP. While RSVPs aren't required, it helps us plan for food. Come plant, learn, eat, and celebrate salmon habitat stewardship with us.

Resurrection Creek Community Open House
Please join us to learn about the ground-breaking project to restore Resurrection Creek in Hope, AK. There will be a guided tour of the site and a Q&A with the leaders and partners of the project. Make sure to arrive on time for a safety briefing, wear protective shoes and we'll see you there.
The event will be held on the project site on Resurrection Creek road, 1/2 mile before the Resurrection Pass North Trailhead. Please park in the cleared area just inside the gate at the project site.
